    An email classification model based on rough set theory

    The communication via email is one of the most popular services of the Internet. Emails have brought us great convenience in our daily work and life. However, unsolicited messages or spam, flood our email boxes, which results in bandwidth, time and money wasting. To this end, this paper presents a rough set based model to classify emails into three categories - spam, no-spam and suspicious, rather than two classes (spam and non-spam) in most currently used approaches. By comparing with popular classification methods like Naive Bayes classification, the error ratio that a non-spam is discriminated to spam can be reduced using our proposed model.<br /

    This paper studies the impact of theInternet (when used for communication, networking,market research, sales, image enhancement, costreduction and competitive advantage purposes) onexport marketing performance of developing countryexporters. It was found that Internet use for the purposesof communication and cost reducing significantlyimpacted the export marketing performance ofexporters. Evidence has also been provided that when theInternet is used for communication and cost reduction,this will have a positive impact on export marketingperformance. Thus, it is important for the managementof such exporters to be aware of these factors when usingthe Internet for exporting at such scale. The unit ofanalysis was an individual exporter. Data was gatheredvia a self-administered mail survey of over 400 Pakistaniexporters coming from a wide cross-section of industries.It is recommended that future researchers replicate thisstudy with a larger sample and a larger developingcountry to examine whether the relationships betweenvariables still hold true on an industry-by-industry basis,as some industries have more interactive websites thanothers

    Design of Magnetic Flux Feedback Controller in Hybrid Suspension System

    Hybrid suspension system with permanent magnet and electromagnet consumes little power consumption and can realize larger suspension gap. But realizing stable suspension of hybrid magnet is a tricky problem in the suspension control sphere. Considering from this point, we take magnetic flux signal as a state variable and put this signal back to suspension control system. So we can get the hybrid suspension mathematical model based on magnetic flux signal feedback. By application of MIMO feedback linearization theory, we can further realize linearization of the hybrid suspension system. And then proportion, integral, differentiation, magnetic flux density B (PIDB) controller is designed. Some hybrid suspension experiments have been done on CMS04 magnetic suspension bogie of National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in China. The experiments denote that the new hybrid suspension control algorithm based on magnetic flux signal feedback designed in this paper has more advantages than traditional position-current double cascade control algorithm.
